They had rented a Catamaran boat to go near the arch of Cabo San Lucas. Diving into the beautiful sea which was spectacular, something spontaneous for us! The crew that surrounds Shelby and Celso are just so fun to spend time with!! But this is only the beginning, this is just getting started! We knew we wouldn’t help to see what will happen in the following days.
Raising up their love in the air for the BIG day!
Rehearsal as a Mexican Dinner?
An evening before the wedding, everyone gathered to the cocktail in white garments. This usual color has a spiritual meaning representing the pure in souls; accompanied by flowers as head ornaments in some of the women. The unity they both will have is in order to take the other’s concern into the same importance level as their own.
The bride and groom accomplished the goal of having a spiritual rehearsal dinner previous to the wedding. Because as you may know, couples have a special affection for what is inside them, for what represents them in mind and body.
That was not just the end of the fun! Traditions are around the world and this pair made the big honor to have a very traditional Mexican party! As you have now read it! Colors all over, clay calaveritas, catrinas, and even a table of “futbolito;” all of these customs unforgotten made everyone welcomed; as for some, it felt like if they were back home. After joining the cocktail, some toasts, after having dinner, it was time to party!
However, hold on your horses cause Shelby’s father prepared them the special surprise! When they turned around, fireworks were dazzling in the sky! It made them feel joyful to have caring people around them. When the party started everyone was dancing until they lined up for the conga!
The getting ready was not as common as in every wedding. It more looked like if they were behind the scenes in a theatre! Drinking champagne, talking, and having girl moments is how Shelby had the beginning of her day with her best friends. She then received her father with a big hug and gave him a letter which both enjoyed reading together.
Celso’s getting ready started normally in a room for his own and with a meaningful letter to read. This is something that made us think about Celso’s easy going personality and how he appreciates his best friends such as much as Shelby.
And after that obviously, the resort Secrets Puerto Los Cabos welcomed the guests, especially the planning team to start every setup. Magda Rueda didn’t miss any detail for this afternoon, coordinating every main event is a big success! With all the marvelous unions we have recorded and been there to celebrate in Secrets, we can say that the outdoors gazebo had never looked so stunning! The natural green all over the gazebo had a great contrast with the shades of brown.
The vanilla gown bridesmaids were the sunshine when the radiance was for the bride! She was nor stunning nor bright, she was dressed in flares. Even the violin and guitar that received her through the altar made her look so blissful as her soon husband waited for her.

Jorge Arechiga – the minister – next to the judge minister María Luisa, we’re excited to pronounce them as husband and wife in both Spanish and English!!! The best day of my life by American Authors was being played by the violin; the ceremony ended in more champagne and in signing their names in the civil wedding certificate. They were ready for some pics with Sara Richardson and a photo session with us. Those hidden smiles and kisses were present for them.
Dinner was almost ready, the silverware was brilliant, candles had a mid-light and the background was in lilac. For every picture shoot, you can see Sara’s print. She captures not only the moments, also the nature aspect of life. That essence pure in humanity and in what surrounds it…
Sweetness also comes in every mouthpiece filled with honey hearts. This is the best way we could have described the gorgeous moment where they are side by side sharing a piece of cake for both. Shortly after that, more kisses came!
Now that the great things are upcoming we let you know some of the activities running around the celebration! Like that: during the dances with their parents, Shelby’s dad was smiling and with flair moves the dance floor welcomed Celso’s mom which had that gleam in her eyes when she was next to her son. And we considered the father of the bride, Hugo Gutiérrez had a lovely speech referring to Celso.

A wooden guest book to sign and write poetic words for the newlyweds is something that will be treasured with them. Those are the best things from weddings, that when time passes and you look at your memories that smile will show up again. Like when Celso went up the stage, then we knew this was going to be something awesome! He sang to everyone a song, especially towards his blissful wife. Throughout the open dance, we recognized the live band playing Bon Jovi, Lillix, Billy Idol, Bruno Mars, while some of the guests were taking pictures with masks, maracas, hats and other props.
There are lots of things we can say about this wedding! But having a breathtaking couple that shows you the deepest warm towards every single day, to each other…is something worthy for us. And when we receive their lovely words we’re grateful.
